After a week of below normal temperatures outside, we had our first nice day outside!  Of course, this was the day we chose for our Blizzard Day inside!   We had six dfferent Blizzard Day centers, each with lots of fun for the kiddos.  We read The Snowy Day and made our own tracks in the snow using paint and flour.  Then we had a winter tree snack that we made all by ourselves.  We made snowball soap and dug through "snow" to find mittens in a fun matching game.  We even got to play in our giant igloo and "ice skate".  I think everyone's favorite activity was the snowball fight!  All the classes made paper snowballs and bits of paper snow earlier in the week.  (This was a great fine motor skill for them)  We piled all the snow into one room and each class got to have a real snowball fight.  They giggled and laughed, especially when hitting their favorite target - the teachers!!!
