Meet the Staff
Cindy Zientak Director I am so excited to be part of Spring Meadows Academy! My husband Dave and I have two children, Jake (11) and Ava (6). I have an A.S. degree in Economics and a B.S. degree in Management. I discovered 10 years ago that what I love most is being with children so I decided to put my management skills to work managing a classroom full of preschoolers. I LOVE to teach and to be around preschool children. It is what I get excited about! It is a true blessing to share in the lives of each and every child. I want to help give them the skills necessary to go forward into kindergarten successfully, but even more important, I want to help give them a spiritual foundation on which to build the rest of their lives! I grew up in Middle Tennessee and have lived in Mississippi and Michigan. I have taught preschool age children in various settings for more than 16 years , including several preschools and Sunday school. I also coordinate the Wednesday night children's program at Spring Meadows for the PreK through 5th grade and teach the Pre-K class on Sunday mornings. Our first year at SMA was truly amazing! I can hardly wait to see what God has in store for us this year as we begin a new year with many new students! |

Kara Pre-K Assistant Teacher I have a Bachelor's degree in Merchandising and Design with minors in Human Sciences and Marketing from MTSU. I also obtained a Masters in Organizational Management from Trevecca University. My husband Dave and I along with our two boys (Caston age 7 and Collin age 11) have lived in th Spring Hill area for many years. We have recently begun attending Spring Meadows Church of Christ. Prior to this we were members at Millview Church of Christ.  I am so excited about being a part of SMA. This is going to be an exciting year full of fun and learning together. I have LOVED co-teaching for the past eight years at Sunshine Day School. It is wonderful to be part of this exciting time in the children's lives. I will be in the Pre-K class with Mrs. Julie Beth. We have taught both preschool and church classes together for the past several years. |

Jennifer Pre-K Lead Teacher
I have an Early Childhood Education Degree from MTSU. I was the Kindergarten Club teacher and after-care director at The Children's House Montessori Preschool in Nashville for 2 years. I taught Pre-K for 1 year and third grade for 3 years in the Williamson County School District before becoming a stay at home Mommy. I am involved in the PTO at Heritage Elementary as the Co-Vice President. I have always loved teaching children and am excited to be part of this Academy! |

Pre-K Assistant Teacher I'm really looking forward to a great year at SMA! My husband Keith and I have three wonderful children - John Austin (10), AnnaGrace (7) and Ava Beth (4). My oldest two children go to Heritage Elementary and Ava Beth will be here with us in the Pre-K program at SMA. I have taught preschool age children for many years, either in a school setting or in my home. I have been an assistant teacher in both the 3/4 class and Pre-K class. I love working with and spending time with the children. I graduated from David Lipscomb University and lived in Memphis before moving back to the Nashville area several years ago. We are active members of the Spring Meadows Church of Christ. I love spending time with my family and my friends and know that we will have a great year together here at preschool!

Emily Lead Teacher - 3/4's I graduated from Libscomb University with a B.S. degree in Office Management. Stephen and I have been married for 14 years. We have lived in Memphis and Missouri and we have been in Columbia for 5 years. We have two daughters, Jessica (9) and Ashley (7), who attend Columbia Academy. We are members at Spring Meadows Church of Christ. Over the years I have worked with children as a babysitter, Bible class teacher, preschool teacher, Girl Scout leader and room mother. Now I am excited to be a part of Spring Meadows Academy! I enjoy playing play-dough, doing crafts and watching little minds absorb new and exciting things. I know that we are going to have a fun and exciting year! |
Kelly Assistant Teacher - 3/4's
I am married to Thomas and we have two boys, Parker, an 8th grader at Heritage Middle and Mason, a 1st grader at Chapman's Retreat. We live in Spring Hill and have been active members at Spring Meadows Church of Christ since moving to Spring Hill in 2007. I was born and raised in Visalia, CA, where I attended College of the Sequoias and received my degree at San Joaquin Valley College. While in California, I owned and operated a large licensed home day care. I created my own curriculum for the 3-5 year olds that I cared for. I am very involved in teaching Bible class, VBS and working with the youth at Bible camp. We left California in search of a family friendly town, great schools and most importantly, an active and growing church family. We know that God led us here, because we have found all of that here in Spring Hill! |

Lead Teacher - 3's What a blessing to be part of this wonderful new adventure! I was born and raised in Franklin before moving to Spring Hill in 2005. My husband Jon and I have 2 amazing little girls - Hailie is 8 and attends Chapman's Retreat Elementary and Briley is almost 4 and will be joining us at SMA this year. We love being a part of the Spring Meadows family! I have been fortunate enough to teach preschool classes for many years through church and VBS. I have a passion for working with children and watching them grow in wisdom and in spirit. I also enjoy painting, crafts, reading and spending time with my family. I know that this is going to be an incredible year, and I can't wait to get to know all of you and your little angels. Thank you for sharing them with us! |
Tammy Assistant Teacher - 3's My husband (Danny) and I have lived in Williamson County all of our lives and take much pride in our community. We have two children, Andrew & Anderson. Andrew will be a freshman at The University of TN and Anderson will begin 5th grade at Chapman's Retreat Elementary in the fall. My family and I are members of Spring Meadows Church of Christ. I taught the 3 year old class at Sunshine Day School for several years. I was able to share God's word with many chidlren that had not heard His word before being in my class and that was a blessing and quite rewarding. I continue to teach Sunday school classes as well as volunteer with the youth program at SM. I look forward to sharing God's word with your children and being part of the positive impact Spring Meadows Academy will have in the Spring Hill community. |
Becky Lead Teacher - 2's
I'm Becky Chester, married to Joe (civil engineer). I have two daughters, Katie (age 25), and Charlotte (age 22). I have a wonderful son-in-law, Mitch, and an adorable grandaughter, Jacey. I have worn lots of "hats" over the years... mom, room mother, band mom, softball mom, piano teacher, and others. I have kept children in my home and also worked at a preschool in the Nashville area. My hobbies include sewing, scrapbooking, music and gardening. My husband and I are moving to the Bethesda Road area in August and I hope to resume teaching beginning and intermediate piano lessons. Of course, I am so excited to be teaching the two year olds at Spring Meadows Academy! |
Kerry Assistant Teacher - 2's I am so excited to be part of Spring Meadows Academy and feel that it will be a great outreach opportunity for Spring My husband Darrin and I moved from Louisiana to Tennessee 10 years ago and have lived in Spring Hill for 9 years. We have two children, Montana (8) and Dalton (5). Both attend Longview Elementary. We enjoy spending time together as a family, playing baseball, riding bikes or just hanging out. I love to read, alone and with my children. I worked as a surgery tech for an ophthalmologist in Louisiana for 2 1/2 years. I earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing from Northwestern State University and worked in the business field for 5 years before becoming a full time mom after the birth of my first child. I love working with preschool children and have enjoyed teaching and assisting through Bible classes and VBS for many years. I'm looking forward to working with all the teachers at SMA. But most of all I can't wait to meet our precious 2 year olds. We're going to have a GREAT year together!

Christy Assistant - all classes I am so looking forward to serving you and your children this year at SMA! As a "floater" I have the wonderful privledge of getting to work with and know all of your precious children and each of our great teachers. My husband Bruce and I have been married 12 years and have a son, Hayden (age 6). We moved to Spring Hill from Georgia almost 4 years age and love this community. Hayden will be in 1st grade at Chapman's Retreat this year. We are active members of Fourth Avenue Church of Christ. |
I am very excited to be a part of SMA this year! My husband (Darren) and I have been married for 9 years and live in Thompson's Station. We have three wonderful children, Jackson (6) attends Heritage Elementary, Mason (4) will in the Pre-K program at SMA and Anna-Grace (2) will be in the 2-year old class at SMA. Our family has a strong desire to serve the Lord in our abilities, and we are attending Spring Meadows.
